Sorry Ive been away but this wedding was a really big event. You will see it in wedding magazines.

I was in SLO today and pulled out a few unique pieces.....

The first one is a proto with a single H in the neck position. Eddie and I both loved this guitar but I won the tug of war. It is essentially just one of the coils of the one of the humbuckings. I cant remember if it was from the neck or bridge. I just know that we couldnt duplicate it easy.

TH enext one was pretty early on. EVH was up visiting and checking things out and we were walking through and spotted this pink one that looks almost spalted and was just getting the pink stain rubbed into it. its serial number 99......I won that tug of war too. EVH won most though.

hey sterling - so i remember eddie using a single-coil version back during the f.u.c.k. era for recording - was this model with the single coil in the neck originally intended for production or was this when ed wanted to start using the single-coils and first came up with the idea of just having a bridge humbucker and one single-coil in the neck?

p.s. i would LOVE to see more 'history' photos of your instruments - especially prototypes!!! would love to see some of the john petrucci protos and steve morse too. :D

the pink finish is kinda cool - the faded purple should be called 'root beer'. :D

Some awesome stuff BP. Thanks. I too love the history behind these vault jems. Steve Morse seems to be pretty consistant w/ his guitar over the many years, so would I be wrong in assuming that there are minimal Morse models (a bit of alliteration for ya) in the vault? How about the others????

Thanks BP

Wow! I have got to say that I absolutely love the translucent pink finish. It's got my vote as the next LE color! Bring back the pink ALs.

BP, many thanks, I love seeing stuff like this.
