Hello,
For anyone local to Buffalo, tonight at the Guitar Center in Amherst, NY, there were two SUB guitars, one in blue for $349, and the other in black for $399. They both seemed to be in excellent shape, and both were reduced $300.

Where's the GC in Amherst?

I've got some cousins up in North Tonawanda (and some in Kenmore, and Buffalo, and Niagara Falls).

I get up there one or two times a year, and I usually stay at a hotel Amherst. It would be nice to hit the local GC sometime when I'm there to noodle around a bit.

I'm pretty familiar with the main roads in the area, I just don't know what stores are inside all those malls off of I-290.

If someone checks these out, please find out why they are giving them away. I'm really curious. Thanks. Doug.

I was told new pickguards coming, DOUG.

Not sure if that's accurate though.

Hmm very interesting! I'm always the last to know these things! Glad I held off on ordering one until the NAMM show is over. Thanks for the info Keith. Your A.L. should be showing up ANY time now. I expect a call from the factory very soon.

The GC in is on Niagara Falls Blvd in Tonawanda, New York. The phone number, if anyone is interested is 716-833-8200.

Steve, it is located about a block from Sheridan Drive, about 1/4 mile past the Boulevard Mall when coming from the I-190. It will be on the right hand side, opposite the mall.

The two guitars that are on sale have been on the floor for a while, and they just moved them to the closeout section. Both appear to be in great shape. Usually this same GC has closeout specials going all the time. As soon as you walk in they are set up, basses, guitars and amps. A few weeks ago there was an Epiphone Les Paul, black with black/gold hardware, for $244, less than half off. If they hang for a while, they move them to the close-out. Sometimes they'll have scratches or dings, but often times they are perfectm just old stock.

Andrew,

Cool... thanks for the directions. I will definitely hit it the next time I visit my kinfolk up there. There are still some good things going on in Buffalo... Premiere Liquor, beef on 'weck, Ted's Hot Dogs, and now a guitar store! :D

Ahh, Beef on weck, and Ted's Hot Dogs, two that are hard to beat. How about fries w/ gravy along with the beef on weck?!

Maybe they are trying to solve my complaints and put better pickups in them! :D Oh, if I could just get a Sub with a mahogany body and EMGs in it! I'd never put it down!
