Hi Everyone!

#1 - GC

I wanted to post a follow-up comment regarding my experience at GC. This is in no way related to the fact that Mr. Albertson is now on the forum, as I was going to do this anyway.
You may or may not remember, but my SR purchase at GC was a little rocky. We had a long and interesting thread about it. I just wanted to say that my post-purchase dealings have been nothing but positive.:) I got the little card in the mail thanking me for my purchase, and that was nice. To my surprise, though, a week later I received a phone call from my salesman asking if everything was okay. When I told him of the possible small problem with the G string (we had another thread on that) he told me to call and if the tech was there, he would look at it straight away. Can't ask for more than that, folks. It's service like that that would eliminate any reservations I might have about future purchases. Great job! :D (Still minor issues with floor models but better! Bongo 5 unplayable, not set up. Other models ranged from playable to perfect.)

#2 - My fretless
At times when I strike or press hard on the G on the G string, I get almost a twangy buzz. The tech said the neck was fine. He raised the action a bit to no avail. He said he didn't know of anyting else to do and to bring it back if I had any ideas. Any thoughts?

Sorry for the long post and thanks everyone!

As BP said regarding your fretless, contact customer service. BP has the best in the biz i'm 100% positive they'll figure out what's up.

Cool about the GC purchase. I hope to be a GC employee soon. :D

Not enough relief or the saddle is too low.

If you like the action the way it is, stop playing so hard!

the look, mom, I said something about set-up!

Thanks, Jack!

I appreciate the help.

As I said in the "man-hug" thread, the fact that you took the time for someone like me is greatly appreciated. I've always been a really hard player. All of my tone comes from the fingers, so I go wildy from one extreme to the other as far as attack goes. I'll just have to be more careful on the fretless.

BP, sorry to inadvertantly pi** you off. I just figured the problem was so minor, I didn't want to waste customer service's time or take away their energy from someone else who may be having more troubles than me. Again, mea culpa.
