I don't think I like any 20 albums enough to say they affected my life, so here's 9:

- Rush - 2112
- Led Zep - IV
- Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced?
- Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood
- King's X - Out of the Silent Planet
- The Sundays - Blind
- Radiohead - OK Computer
- Seal - Seal (1991)
- Will Ackerman - Passage

Each one represents either a style of playing, a high-level of production, or effective simplicity that has influenced my perception of playing and recording music.

Toto IV (toto)
In Step (SRV)
See the Light (Jeff Healey)
The Seventh One (Toto)
Small World (Huey Lewis & the News)
Texas Flood (SRV)
Some Rainy Morning (Robert Cray)
Night Life (Thin Lizzy)
Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop (Jeff Beck)
Passion and Warfare (Steve Vai)
Empire (Queensryche)
Thriller (Michael Jackson)
Wild Frontier (Gary Moore)
Time's Up (Living Colour)
Melissa Etheridge (Melissa Etheridge)
Jesus Christ Superstar (Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice)
Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Vol. 2 (Billy Joel)

and there was a Wings double cassette live album that was definitely not 'Wings Over America'. I never thought it was a bootleg but for the life of me, I can't find anything about it anywhere online.

These are the albums that changed my views on what I liked when I was a kid and steered me in different directions as I have grown up...

Bad - Michael Jackson - First music I was really into
Slippery when wet - Bon Jovi - Met a girl when I was 13 who got me into rock guitars
Appetite for Destruction - Guns N Roses - Naturally progressed to this album from Bon Jovi
Nevermind - Nirvana - First time I liked a noiseyer album
Metallica - Metallica - Who didnt own this record?
Megadeth - So Far So Good So What - A mate got me into faster thrashyer stuff
Draconian Times - Paradise Lost - Got into more atmospheric goth sounds
Ultra - Depeche Mode - This got me in to darker electronic stuff
Metropolis Part 2 - Dream Theater - Loved the musicianship, the storytelling, metal and clean guitars with often orchestral sounds.
Some of those albums I dont even listen to anymore but they kinda steered me to liking different stuff, and they arent even my favourite albums... couldnt name 20 which have affected me.
