2005 LE SR4 Question- How much?

Hello all!

A buddy of mine has a 2005 LE Buttercream SR4 HH that he is thinking about selling to me. However, we can not agree on a fair price. So I come to you, forumites, to see how much I should expect to spend on this jewel.

It is the HH model, so I hear it is a little more rare. It has a rosewood board and matching headstock. It is also in 100% flawless condition and comes with the LE case with brown shag interior. The plastic is still on the pot cover in the back.

So my question is....how much is it worth? I am by no means an expert on these LE models, but I hear they retain their value quite well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i got mine for around that,

i would say buy it, do it! i have a SR4 HH buttercream, with a maple board, and it was the best bass i have ever bought.

to my knowledge there are only about 13 of em

There is a new one on the wall of a local store that I was told I could buy for $1200-1300.

$1100-1300 or so on eBay IMO. I would offer him $1000-1100 if I was going to buy it personally.

Keep it coming guys! He's wanting the higher end of what you're recommending (1350$) which I don't have a problem paying. I just wanted to make sure that this ballpark was correct.

So 1350$ is a pretty good deal?

if the bass is absolutely FLAWLESS, it might be worth the $1350 (espeacilly if you don't mind the paying the price). you can negotiate but my biggest fear is that he he shows the bass to some guy with a spike belt and or spike bracelets and after he plays it the bass is no longer flawless.

I sold my 05 LE SR5 HH for well more than that, so i'd say it's a good price.

Buttercream is just beautiful. I hope to find another one someday.

From a playability and tone standpoint, I do not think you are going to lose on that trade, for sure.

Haha- I'm sure he'll find out real quick... THAT particular LP (Les Paul, for those who are unfamiliar) didn't have a scratch on it... it actually sounded and played quite nicely... more of a conversation piece than a player IMO.

yea, they dont i tried that

however i do find that the case does smell good (maybe like a buttercream smell)
