My 2018 Majesty is my first guitar that has any type of active-ness. I understand the Humbuckers (Illuminators) are not active and only my onboard preamp is. What I've noticed though is some of my fx units don't sound the same using this guitar vs passive pickups.
I've noticed my Xotic EP booster (normally set in the very front of my signal chain is LOUD. Prior to the Majesty I had the dial around noon for a nice little 'pump' effect. Now I don't know where to place it in the chain because it's actually making some of my OD/Fuzz/Dist. muddy. So I tried it last in the Dirt chain before the Mod/Phaser/Delay pedals, I've also lowered the dial to about 9 o'clock.
Can anyone tell me
#1. Is there any danger to any of my pedals using this Active preamp on the Majesty?
#2. Have any of you experienced any clashes or changes in certain fx units?
#3. Is there anything I should place in the chain to 'unify' the chain for cleaner sounds?
Just for the record, the 2018 Majesty is the most incredible, stylish and rocking guitar I've ever owned and have been spending hours each day just playing the guitar again. It's truly incredible. I just need to iron out these small things and I'll be set.
Again, my first guitar with the word ACTIVE in any of it so I just don't have the background knowledge that some of you probably have.
