I've read a couple of mentions of a 20th anniversary Silhouette to be coming out shortly. Does anybody know any info on this and will this guitar be a regular Silo or Silo Special (I hope) I'm in the market right now for a Silo Special but will wait until I find out the details on the anniversary model. I've got three Joe Barden pickups waiting to be used when the right Silo comes along.

It will be released officially at Namm in January, but I'd imagine (hope might be a better word) we'll get a sneak preview soon. I hope so for Norms sake.:)

Silhouette
The 20th Anniversary Silhouette will feature a figured maple top with a
3-ply black, natural, black veneer underneath. Standard features include
a maple neck with the option of a rosewood or maple fingerboard and
Music Man Vintage Tremolo or fixed bridge. It also includes rear-mounted
electronics, buttercream position markers, a custom neck plate and 20th
Anniversary logo.

--------------

It does not say "Special" so I am guessing it's just on the original Silhouette. BUT... I may be wrong :D

The Anaheim Convention Center is about 15 minutes from my house...I think you'd better take me as your guest so I can be your local guide.

Wait a minute! I have been petitioning for a pass to NAMM and still have not found any luck. Pete, I will be your personal "Security Consultant" as we know that travel can be dangerous. My fee is small.....two NAMM passes. One for me and one for a special friend of mine. I will pay for the hotel.......you can't beat that deal! LOL:cool:

Koogs, I still have to contact NAMM about my membership.... I'm tryin like anything to go! A lot will depend on how things are going over here with the family, gonna be a stressful time on the 19th & 20th that I'd rather not get into details on here.

I may be able to go to NAMM, I may not be able to go... If I go, it will be last minute for sure :(

1. The Silhouette Special is NOT 20 years old. The regualr Silo is. Maybe there will be different pickup configs!? The original Silo also had 3 single coil pups or 2 hums.

2. As for the Buttercream position markers, I can see this on a rosewood board, but "won't be able to see it on a maple fretboard!!! It will almost be the same colour.

Phatty, doubt it'll happen. Though EBMM has it all locked down now.

ya we hope that hacker dude is tracked down too...

Obviously it was done by someone who has quite a sorry life and feels they need to go and deface private property for their amusement. Not funny.

I have a feeling that it was bored kids. The damage they did was minimual and very harmless compared to what could have happened.

My wife is a member of the Franz Ferdinand forum and hacker took their site down to the point that it needed to be rebuilt from scratch. Took about 3 or 4 weeks before it was back online again.

Man if that happned here, I'd be lost!!!! Hahahahahahahahahahaha ;)
