Here's a pic of my new 20th Silo:

This guitar is one of the best I've ever played and sounds like a million bucks. The neck is perfect and the build quality is outstanding. When I have more time, I'll take some better pics.

To celebrate the new lady, I made a clip of a song I wrote yesterday:

Here's the rig:

Thanks guys! The top is special. It's is very dynamic in how the quilt looks compared to my other figured maple top guitars. I also like that it can look understated depending on the lighting.

Thanks Tristan! Maybe we could work something out for me to design a rig schematic. Here's a little more of my work:

Congrats! Amazing top!
Btw, the graphics are really good! Looking forward to see your web online :)
Thanks Axistence! Yeah, my website has been under construction for a while since I've been blessed with too much graphic design work to make time to design the site. :)

Nice clip, beautiful guitar and cool graphics!
Thanks all around! :)

Hal9000, I've seen your work a few years ago, it was a rig for the guitarist of Scenery Channel (can't remember his screen-name  ) and I really loved it!

Do you do this for free or what? Beacuse you're really very talented!

Well, anyway, if it's for free, could you do this? It'd be greatly appreciated, and I'd own you one! :D

  • EBMM Morse (Blueburst, nonmatching headstock)
  • Boss TU-2
  • Crybaby
  • Peavey ValveKing 112 combo + footswitch
  • (amp loop) Boss DD-6 or DD-3

Thanks for the compliment on my work. The guitarist for Scenery Channel is Tommi Inkila, a friend of mine and here is his rig:

I have a graphic design business on the side of my regular job, so I do charge for my services. I wish I could spend the time to do rigs for people pro bono, but I'm swamped with work as it is. :)

By the way, I'm really sorry, it was pretty rude of me to ask whether you do the graphics for money, I was just interested so I know if I'd "order" one. Sorry, again, hope it doesn't offend nobody.

So, that's it, Hal? Guitar > amp > hot plate > tone port > computer? I might have to look into the Hot Plate.

Nice clip, and of course NICE 20th!

Tommy Inkila is a great guitarist, I got a copy of Premiere about 2 months ago and it stays in the CD player in regular rotation.
Thanks Pete for the compliment and the smooth transaction! :)

Yeah, Tommi is the goods all around. If any of you guys like progressive metal, check out Scenery Channel and their album Premiere.

That's it my friend. The Hot Plate is set to load of course since this is a silent endeavour. The Hot Plate's Line out runs to the Line In on the Toneport UX-2 which was set to the Treadplate 4x12 with V30s and an SM-57 on-axis with 50% room. The Delay was digital with the treble turned down and reverb was a medium hall with a long decay.

The Toneport UX-2 is a useful tool and functions as my recording interface and sound card. I'm starting to get into reamping so I can record all my tracks direct and clean with the Toneport, and then run the tracks back through my amps/mics for different tones without having to spend a bunch of time at loud volumes.
