I know I am being picky here but has anyone tried this combination?
20th Silo through a Marshall TSL 100, and 1960's cab???

I am asking this since I am thinking of grabbing up one of these bad boys, however I do not have enough $$ to swith all of my equipment, plus my Axis SS sounds great throgh this set up-

Thanks for your input

So far I think we have heard from 4 people that have played these. Rest assured that when I get either of mine you will either:
a. Hear how they sound through a Johnson Millennium.
b. Not hear from me at all as I will be to busy playing.

 Man...that is a tough one. I have played the 20th through the set up at NAMM which is the Korg Pandora as well as through a Krank amp that was there. Tell you the truth, it was ripping through either one. Honestly, this is the best tone guitar EBMM has put out. I really don't think you will have a problem with the Marshall....just better tone than the Axis and I am a huge fan of the Axis. My 2 pennies.

Man, I really need to get me at 20th...

P.S. Koogie, what did you think of the 20th thru a Krank? I haven't heard very good things about them (the Kranks) eventhough it fits my style.

Well, the Krank's dirty channel was not what I thought it would be....just not to my liking. Seemed to wild and we (Brian and I) were not able to dial in a good dirty tone....maybe it was us...but we really fumbled with the knobs and it seemed to sound the same irregardless.....however, the clean channel was pleasantly nice. Nice and warm, very crystal like....I really liked the clean channel. Unfortunately, i don't remeber the model, but it was a combo. Hope this helps.

If I remember right, a similar setup was used at the Big Poppa New Years bash? NoRm do you remember?

BP was the only one who played the 20th on stage that night. If that's BP's rig then that's what I heard it through

I have a DSL50 and 1960AV cab and a 20th Ann. I am reticent to make too many comments about this combination because the guitar is still quite new to me and sometimes it takes a while to get the sound I want out of a guitar/amp combination. At the moment the 20th sounds pretty good with this rig for clean and "vintage" overdriven sounds. I am thinking of Rory Gallagher and Robin Trower type tones. I like the clarity without the "thin" sound you get with strats. The bridge pickup has been a bit more problematic with high gain and the Marshall setup. I am not finished playing yet, though. I also have a Mesa Mk IV and this is an excellent match for the 20th.
