Was just watching the MJ memorial at the Staples center and the guitarist for the house band is playing a 25th anniversay guitar.

Was this the band that was gonna play all those shows in London BP?

I saw the 25th as well though I have no idea whether it was his tour band.
I'm not the biggest Jacko fan but I have to admit I'm quite impressed with how touching this memorial was.

I just saw the 25th also....I'm thinking this was indeed the band that was going to perform at the actual shows in London. Orianthi was playing guitar at the memorial and she was at the rehearsals with MJ as well.

Very touching ceremony and sad end to a great artists life.

It's no more "OTT" than a lot of other posts in other threads in this forum.

It just happens to be a more delicate topic. I feel for the families in that story and it's obvious what my opinion is of the way the media has mishandled this whole thing so I won't reply to any more posts here.

Its not that im disagreeing with you mate but a high profile artist like MJ was always goin to be in the media spot light, thats life unfortunately.
I disagree with that reporters comments though as MJ was proven innocent in a court of law.
Maybe that reporter was trying to put 'himself' in the spotlight more that the soldiers etc etc.;)

Come on. This is a thread on the 25th and I think that political stuff is off limits and I appreciate everyones perspective I fail to see where this hijack fits. Remember we are smothered with 24 hour sound bites. Let's keep this a haven.

I was very proud to have a 25th a part of the memorial

Hey, u talkin to me? NY
Once I saw a glimpse of the headstock, I knew exactly what he was playing. It was pretty cool!

By the way, what did everyone think of John Meyers' guitar rendition of Human Nature? I thought that it was pretty awesome. He should have grabbed that 25th. Anniversary EBMM and played the song on it..:D

I walked in the door from work, looked at the TV and saw the 25th right away. I told my wife, "back up the show, I saw a music man guitar!" she commented that even during a memorial I am thinking of music man guitars.

He had an EB strap, and I think he's a string endorsee. He was awesome, needed to be louder in the mix , but what a player.
