25TH call me al slap

ok,so go easy on me here i am not a slap player by any means.....sometimes i am not even sure if i am a bass player or just a guy who love the bass.

please have a quick listen and tell me if it sounds ok,my aim here is "to try and get away with it " by doing a half decent job.

it was a wedding last night in a really small venue(i play alot of them latley)
and it was recorded on an iphone so the quality is not the best.

also any tips on how to get it right would be great !

Dave well done, I'm sure yours was a great performance, you can make out that 25th honky sound quite well even from the iphone recording, and also my compliment not only goes to you but to the rest of the band too as you all tie in pretty well, it's a shame the iphone renders it not so well. Perhaps you should get someone to record your next gig with something a bit more appropriate for you to keep for posterity, but nevertheless well done to you and your pals for a good rendition of a great tune.

cheers Fran,we are shooting a video soon for the website but for some reason people keep doing videos on the phones and giving them to me ! kind funny.

I agree, you are there, nice even tone. I could not here the bass solo, but it is much easier if you hammer and pull off. It can be done with a Victor style too, but in my opinion, the hammers sound more like the original recording.
