I just stumbled across this thread on the skinny side where BP revealed the name of the future production model based on the 25th.

"Reflex" sounds good to me, but will the basses carry the same name? Or rather something like "Big Reflex" or "Fat Reflex" or "Deep Reflex" or ... discuss! :)

Ernie Ball/Music Man Ernie? The name is already in every new bass and guitar.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious, though that HAD occurred to me, and I'm sure Mark too. :) Just kidding with the smartass tone. Seriously, though, I still think it sounds cool, even "fully distinguished" ... the Ernie Ball Music Man Ernie. The Ernie, for short. Classy, eh? Like the bass.

Please relax and let me name something after my father...something that he had something to do with and maybe even an instrument he played

Point well taken. Those reasons are exactly why I didn't mention my thoughts about it before, but I couldn't resist chiming in when Mark did. I felt it might've been presumptuous to even go there. I think that's how I'd feel too.

No slam intended, Mark. I know you didn't mean it that way either.

Certainly wasn't intended as a slam. I wasn't trying to force BP's hand either - it is right that Sterling decides when and what to give his dad's name to. I just thought I'd put into words the fact that some Knuckleheads would be proud to play an instrument with BP's Poppa's name on it.

Since Reflex goes back to MM history maybe this one will be named the Sabre II ?

What does it matter, BP can make it available in pink with green polka dots and checkered binding and call it the Harry Ball and it will still rock.
