I was taking pictures of my 30th Anniversary Stingray since I'm about to sell it (bought a Classic, and I can't keep both), and they turned out so well I thought I'd share them. I had never seen pictures of this bass that show its true beauty. Why is the 30th priced so low in the used market? Seriously, these pictures made me reconsider selling this bass... but I like the Classic better regarding playability and sound. I found the neck radius to be very comfortable for my hands, the thinner frets make it so easy to play, and I prefer the 2-band EQ.

If you can keep both, definitely try to. The 30th is a great bass...and will eventually be a collector like the 20th is. I have a friends 30th stored here, and it's a nice player.

As far as used prices, depends on how flooded the market is. When I sold mine I waited until there weren't any others for sale, and was able to get top dollar.

the 30ths finish seem to mature in a very nice way.. gets more defined as time goes by. its like the contrasts increase and the dark stripes in the mahogany and the birds eyes stand out more!

if you can, keep it.. its a dang nice bass! :)

I'm finding it really had to part with, so I'll keep it for now. It feels wrong to sell something sacred ;)

Yeah, I decided to hold on to it and sell some other stuff... I know this bass is not going to lose its value. If anything, it can go up, and I know I would have regretted it sooner or later.
