Hi guys!

Took my 30th Anniversary Stingray out for its first gig Saturday night. Of course it sounded great. But someone else loaded it up after the gig and tore the hell out of the bottom of the case--big rips and gouges in the beautiful burgundy vinyl :-(

Already checked eBay, and the two 30th Anniversary cases that were listed have already sold. I'm going to order one of the molded plastic cases to use for gigs from now on, but I would really like a pristine 30th Anniversary case if I can get one. Anybody have any ideas? (And yes, I've emailed customer service, but they haven't replied yet because it's earlier on the west coast.)

Exactly why I ordered the plastic case along with my LE.

The special case went into storage immediately.

Those vinyl cases are pretty, but they don't take abuse well at all.

Best of luck finding that 30th case!

You know, I thought you were nuts buying a second case for your bass, but now it doesn't seem so nutty after all. :D

Isnt it sad to worry (almost) as much about the case as the bass? I do it too. I store my "LE" cases and use the plastic generic brand....I don't even like to scratch the plastic cases. Damn...I need therapy! (again)

Why buy another plastic case if the burgundy one is already wrecked? I would just keep using the burgundy one.

eh, cases are meant to protect the bass, even if at the cost of their own pristine condition.

Mine is all torn up but I dont really worry all that much about it, the bass itself is what matters to me.

It's a tight fit in those 30th cases and when I got mine the case was busted out where the strap button is. Luckily, the dealer allowed me to exchange for a new case so all ended well. Still, I'm a bit apprehensive about taking it to gigs ..... may have to look into another case as well.

I understand the reason you want a prestine LE case...... but on the other hand, that's what a case if for, so it, the case takes the beating, not your BASS!!!

Good luck finding a new one.

I'll sell ya mine for what I have in it. Sheesh... I knew it wouldn't take long. Send me your shipping addy right away.

DeWayne

I just e-mailed the guy to have him ship it to you. I need your addy. It might be too late for that.... but I'll save it for you. If we can save 30 bucks.. it's all good!

PS I'm growing a mullet for the NAMM show in Austin - maybe I will fit in better this year.
