Ok so, I wanted to come to the desert but budget, family, time etc. makes it a no go-er so.....
I got another ball - Big thanks to Starsky for hooking me up, Fantastic 97 Axis hardtail, Bit of a saddo story this, if you'll induldge me...
When I was...er... younger I worked for the UK largest chain of music stores, I couldn't affford rent let alone balls, but it was good experience, there was a red EVH hard tail on the was at £1699 that wouldn't sell for anything, I played it every day and nagged managers for a discount/lay away/food stamps sales you name it, so no dice, the tech there Joe of wolf guitars built me a copy for £775 (which was 2 months wages in them days!) but it wasn't the same....
Now I have the hard-tail I always wanted, despite my screenname I'm no EVH nut, and to me the Axis is superior to the EVH model, so I'm blown away by this, and my ball collection is growing all the time. I tried the Ib@nez PGM in a guitar shop in Inverness today because everyone I know says the neck is 1st class, I handed it back to the salesman saying "it ain't no ball" ,walked out and came home to find me a new hard tail!
I may not be able to buy new balls, and I may have the odd grey import, but these are amazing guitars! - Sorry about the photography, done on my phone as the digicam batteries are on charge... now, who's got a Mr Horsepower they can sell me !!!??!?!!?!?!
