Hey Everybody!
I was reading the specs on the AL MM90 and it says it contains 250k pots when in fact mine had 500k pots. I found my MM90 to be too bright and somewhat harsh with my current amp settings which are moderately accentuated in the lows and attenuated in the mids, and usually kept flat in the highs, if not pushed back a few dB. The amp is an Egnater Tweaker.
Well, I went as far as opening her up, pulling out the 500k in the tone, and popping in a 250k. It helped smooth it out considerably. I say this with confidence because I don't have a good memory for comparing a sound I just heard to a sound I heard 3 hours before. With that said, it was pleasantly darker.
Anyway, just thought I'd share my experience. Also, I wonder if anyone else has 500k's in their AL MM90 and if Ernie Ball just misprinted the spec sheet incorrectly or if I'm just special.
Thanks again.
Take care,
Bats
