Hey all, I'm thinking of doing the following:

Running stereo out of my AL w/ piezo to a 6165 stereo pedal with the outs going through a PODXTLive (magnetic) and a Yamaha Acoustic MagicStomp (piezo) respectively and then out to the inputs of my Bose PS1. I want to be able to switch from electric to acoustic as well as get a nice blended sound.

Now, it seems this should work fine but in reading the FAQ for the pedals it states that effects should go before the 6165 if possible. Anyone have a similar setup?

The reason I'm asking is that I've read on a few forums that there is a bit of tone-sucking going on. I figured I would check to see if anyone uses it in this way (before effects) before I go pick one up...

Because of your post I am rethinking my idea to retrofit a EBMMVH to accomodate the needs of a piezo equipped guitar. Yeah, I'm thinking about ya.

I just called EB support - while they couldn't give me a definite "this is good/bad" they said it should be fine. As soon as I have everything, I'll give it a shot & report back...

Ok, I got my 6165 today and it works - sort of...

When I have the pedal toe down all the way (piezo) and I roll the guitar's piezo volume all the way down, I still get some magnetic "bleed". Since the mix pot on the back is disabled when running a stereo cable, is there some way I can adjust or calibrate the 6165?

I like to bump this old thread as I want to use a stereo lead out of the AL, into a splitter box, then into a 6165. (Which I'm sorely tempted to buy!)

Then take the two separated outputs from the 6165 and havethe piezo going to the AER and the Mags going to the Marshall/Mesa - maybe via a Pod xt.

I'm also thinking of modding the pedal (yeah I know invalidates the warranty if new) and putting a stereo in -rather than using a splitter box.

Funny that this thread just came up today. I was just thinking about buying a 6165 to replace with my VP Jr. for different reasons.

I'm running two amps a Fender and a Marshall and want a full stereo effect.

I want to run my guitar through my Wah and Phaser into a Loop Master True By Pass/2 Loop plus Tuner Out Box into a stereo pedal. In the loops I want to put my various dirt boxes allowing me the option to completely bypass them if necessary.

At the same time my modulation/reverb and delays will run in stereo through each Send/Return loop of my amps.

I'm hoping this will work.

In the meantime I'm going to run my chorus after the VP Jr. as the Chorus has two outs allowing me to run a cable in front of each amp.

Just managed to source one of these pedals and will have it soon thanks to a fellow knucklehead who sold me one!! :D

Gonna insert a "stereo jack in" so it will act as a splitter box
