Hi - I have an Agile 8 String guitar with reverse headstock. I purchased an 8 string slinky pack 2625. I found that the top 74 string has a taper that is on the last fret. This makes it pretty strange to play as I feel the taper on that last fret. Also the 64 string is not really long enough. It's not even wrapped 1 time around the tuner so I feel like it is going to pop off at any moment (although it hasn't yet). Does Ernie Ball have any strings that are 64 and 74 that are longer and would fit better? Thanks in advance for your feedback. Lee

Lee, not really sure, however I'm certain someone will be along here shortly to enlighten you. Never the less, in a pinch take one of your piano strings.

Hi, not sure if you still need this info...

I own an Agile Intrepid with a 30" scale. It has a fixed, string through bridge, so long strings are a must!
I found that the EB single .074, .068 & .058 strings that I had been purchasing from my local music store (special order) were long enough. Then I just use a "Not even slinky" pack (with the .058 in place of the .056) for the rest.

I found out that EB had an 8 string set, So I purchased one and found that the .074 was waaaaaaaaay too short.

So I am back to special order singles at the music store (EB part# 1174, 1168 & 1158).
I am not sure why there is such a huge difference in the length between the 8 pack and the singles.

Hope this helps.
