:confused:I have been using 10-46 strings on my guitars for years...and now my other 3 Axis Super Sports also have 10-46 on them and I am comfortable with the thicker tone......However, after receiving and playing Ms. Pinkalicious.....Axis Tribute...I am wondering if I should just keep the 9's on her since she is set up so beautifully? Maybe my old fingers could use the break....Does this tremolo work any better with 9's? If I put 10's on..will I have to add or change the spring tension? Any thoughts??:D

9 to 10 isn't so big of a jump. Maybe a slight intonation adjustment, but I don't think you'll need to add springs. Maybe tighten the trem claw a bit. If 10's is all you use, it's not bad to stick to it but on floyd's I always prefer smaller string gauges, plays like buttah!

Me personally I love the feel of 10's, though if she's already playing like a dream, keep the 9's. :)
You'd have to make little adjustments here and there if you did put 10's on.
From my experiences there isn't a "better" gauge for that type of bridge.

I use 10's on my supersport and used 9's on my Axis when I had it. I have other guitars that depend what they are (or what strings I have in the drawer). Unless you absolutely hate the 9's, why not.

I've gone 9's, 10's and Hybrid. Personally when I tend to stick with whatever comes stock usually because I love the setup and don't want to stray from what already feels so nice. Just like the variety of neck profiles, I enjoy the variety.

Definitely stick with the 9s, especially if you are totally satisfied with the playability. Unlike single coil guitars where I prefer 10s for a little beefier tone, I stick with 9s on all my guitars with humbuckers.

Personally, I use 9's on ALL my guitars...except for the Petrucci's I've owned in the past.

I am usually a die hard 10-46 player but they 9's on the Axis just feel "right" for some reason
