I just took this pic in the soft morning light and it shows the range that the Lava Pearl color has in person much better than my other photos.

BP, since you said you are a watch guy, too, I threw in a nice Panny for you!

Now I want a Bongo. Dang, you guys and this forum are bad for me! :)

Hey there! Stingray looks great!

And the Giovanni Panerai?

Well, do I really need to say anything? :D

I warned you man. These Bongoloids exert some sort of mind control. Start thinking Sterling HS. That should help.

Hmmm, Sterling HS in Lava Pearl. Can that be ordered?

Yes, you warned me, but the warning hasn't taken root. When I first saw a Bongo I was disgusted. Now, the "toilet seat" (as one post called it) has grown on me. First I think I need to buy an acoustic/electric so that will delay the madness for at least a little while.

I'd think the Sterling could be ordered that way. That's how I got my SR. Had my local shopkeep hand the order to EB at NAMM :)

Luckily my watch GAS phase ended 10 years ago when I traded my Submariner for the Omega which I still have.

Hopefully I will be able to say the same thing about my current bass lineup in 10 years!

P.S. Great Bongo and great Panerai.:)

Can't decide which i'd prefer.....the Bongo or the Panerai!!

Perhaps this will start a new thread - 'combined watch & bass showing-off pics'!?!?

(if my camera was here, i'd do my rolex & sterling shot, but unfortunately it's gone awol from terminal 5 at heathrow airport!)

The Omega has suprisingly been a great watch.

Not surprising to me.
Omega is about making timepieces (at least as long as we're talking about the mechanical chronometers) Rolex is more about making.... um... money. Fact is that you can get equally well designed mechanically better watches at considerably lower prices.

hey oli...since you are in switzerland.......what are prices like for nic e watches......I can then complain about usa prices? Got any connections?

Make sure that after you circumvent the distribution channels you make sure to post any and all issues you encounter with the watch; be it the price differential, shipping costs/time or if it is a nanosecond off from the atomic standard. But please BP, do that all after PM'ing the CEO with repeated requests for warranty work.

Lava Pearl - mmmm.... mmmm... delicious.
