On Tuesday I swapped my 6 bolt 89 silo for a Gibson SG Classic. The one with the P90's.It's a great guitar, light, great high fret access, good tone, tight no flab. But I REALY missed my silo. So today Friday,I swapped my tele for it. GREAT to have it back. Have you ever done a dumb trade you regretted.?

Well if by some strange chance you just happen to miss your tele, you can have mine. For your silo of course. :D

I've read too many of these regret stories here to even think of doing such things!

Oh, you know - some guitars keep coming and going. I even traded or sold some Balls I had, just cuz some appear more comfortable to me than others. Then other Balls appear and...

...you all know how the story ends... :D

I could have got another ball, but I think it would have more been diffficult to track another 6 bolt. My one might have ben gone for ever.

Actually I regret it the other way around. I had a 1974 Rickenbacker 4001 bass guitar that my brother "sold" me really cheap. (Basically he owed me a few hundred dollars and gave me the bass as payment). I like the Rickenbacker look, but the bass had issues. I took it in to get repaired 3 times, but still had the same problem with sound going out intermittently.

After the 3rd time, I got so frustrated, I ended up selling the Ric and buying a used Stingray. I like the Stingray better, but my brother was kind of pissed off or hurt or whatever. I guess I should have sent it to the factory for repair or upgrade. I figured it was mine and I could do whatever I want... but I did sell it for more than 2x what my bro sold it to me for. I think he wanted it kept in the family if you know what I mean.

Yeah, in retrospect I really wish I hung onto that Ric.
