A Classic and a classic

I picked up my B15S head from the shop today. New power switch, new power tubes/bias, and a couple of cold solder joints cleaned up and she's a happy hunk of Ampeg.

I thought I'd grab a quick shot of the head with Magnus's Classic SR5 that's living with me for a while. It sounds great through the rig.

In the next month, I'll have a have a case made for the head. I'm looking forward to taking it to some gigs in the next month. I can't wait to play some Bongos with the Ampeg.

You would be correct. By the time I get the case made, it'll weigh almost as much as two of the cabs...

I've got the cab it came in. Still need to do some work to it, but I don't really see it getting much gig time. Too big and too much of a PITA to transport to gigs.

Yeah, that belongs to Strummer. He's letting me babysit it for the rest of the year until he has a chance to come to the US to collect it. I just dropped a set of flats on it. Sounds great. Especially through the B15S/GB combo.

How are you liking that Focus 12? I have my eye on a 15, if I could just sell my Uber Quad 1288

So far, I'm loving it. Nice and light, and it pairs great with the Streamliner 600 that is my normal gigging amp. I'm coming from a Shuttle 6.0-12T combo and I really prefer the tone from the SL600/Focus pairing. I keep trying to justify getting a second Focus cab, but I haven't needed more than 1x12 for a gig in a looooong time.
