Hi guys,

Since I'm still very new here I thought I might as well get a couple of stupid questions out of the way....

BFR: What exactly is the difference between BFR and "normal" MM products? One thing that is immediately obviously is the higher quality top/finish. But the price difference is around 1300 euro... that's a lot of wood and finish you can buy for that kind of money - or so I would think. So are there any other build differences?

A related stupid question: Is a PDN (Premium Dealer Network) guitar the same as a BFR guitar?

And finally: How do you set up the signature you guys are all having, with the list of guitars that you own. I can't seem to find the place for that in the profile settings

So, now that's out of the way ;)

Thanks in advance!

Kasper

BFR is the BALL FAMILY RESERVE : kinda custom shop.

PDN is a yearly edition that offers the same interesting specificities for (almost) all models

Same as a wine "millésime". That's why the year is often associated with the PDN. So geeks like us immediately know what colour or woods were used with a PDN guitar.

BFR = Ball Family Reserve, BFR did start out as high quality top JP, Luke's etc. but has morphed into any thing EBMM wants to brand as BFR, could be different options than a normal model has, roasted neck, rosewood neck etc. When first coming out the BFR logo was the 12th fret, now it is on the neck plate as an engraving. Do a search you find a lot of info on BFR.

PDN is the Premier Dealer Network, it is not the same as BFR. PDN are smaller dealers that get access to custom runs, sometimes it is a paint color, see sparkle series from the last few years or a special Luke like the True Gold with rosewood neck from 5/6 years ago, again do a search PDN should pull up a lot of information.

Signature stuff and avatars are done through your personal EBMM page, go to the top of the page, click on your name and you will see everything you can do or ad. Hope this helps:)

BFR Lukes have a built in mahogany tone block that the regular models don't have.
