A Fanboi with Praise for Guitar Center

Hey Gang i just got back from a Michigan Vacation and i stayed in Romulus and there was a "Guitar Center" in the near vicinity .....Well i walk in and there are more Guitars in there than in all of the Maritimes combined and the staff was INCREDIBLE!!!! Bent over Backwards for me .....The service the people the products .....they needed to bone up a little on the care of the EBMM neck(they had a Black LUKE and a Honey burst ASS Just 2 EBMM's i was hoping to leave with a Bahama Blue Luke)) and some of the Basses needed a little Love but over all the BEST MUSIC STORE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! (Besides our own store hehehehe )....but what i mean is they greeted me and they asked me if i needed or wanted to try anything out....left me alone for awhile then came back...found out we were from Canada and then went to his boss and got us some sale pricing from the week before......anyway my brother in law and i dropped around $1500.00 in there before we left on some stuff i couldn't/Can't order in through our store and gave us Pricing that was CRAZY!!!!!
i just wanted to say to anyone who has never been ....don't believe all the propaganda spewed about retail stores.... from what i read here i thought i was going in to laugh at these people ...BUT......we left with a great experience and $1500.00 poorer hahahaha and felt like it was a pleasure to give them our Cash...

Yeah, it's always about the people, the staff.

GC is a huge outfit, so there are going to be good apples and bad ones. I've got two near me, and have learned whom to go to in each one (and which guys to avoid).

And... ditto on the very special avatar.

Just thought that i should share mt GREAT experience as well ......Totally agree about the people but at this store EVERYBODY was great i went back the next day and one guy i didnt deal with said...."hey Lonney from Nova Scotia Right?" .....Service!

Were you at the Canton store? I was there today, played that Luke. Loved it.

Canton has really turned around, I always hated going there but today was rather pleasant.

I love retail stores. You can always get money back if you find a cheaper advertised price. You can do that at "mom & pop's" store
