1. The Silos apparently have a snap in pickguard configuration (I am about to purchase my first) I was under the impression that ernie ball didnt sell after market parts. Where, then, do you get new pickguards?
2. Im not really familiar with the unfinished necks ( i really love the feel tho) If they have problems with bowing or other shifting, can a truss rod adjustment address this? If not, what can be done? since ernie ball doesnt sell aftermarket parts, where can you get a new neck?
3. I might have asked this before, and i probably have, so i appologise in advance...What is the best way too keep the necks clean?

Thanks in advance!

WEll the guards screw on, but the electronics previously were solderless....i had the same question actually since I'm about to order a silo and might want to swap to a HH configuration...

See the EBMM FAQ for keeping the neck clean. Wiping it down after every use helps immensely. You can clean it with a light application of lemon oil if it gets too bad, Murphys Oil Soap if really really bad. Once it;s clean you can use Birchwood Casey tru-Oil and Gunstock Wax to return the neck to the factory feel.

Hey OC, what color are you getting on the new Silo, and when does the 20th anniv. Silo come out?

I have ordered an additional pickguard for my Albert Lee from Chandler. I believe they are still making all of EBMM guards. Perfect fit BTW as well. No off center screw holes that make the screws slightly crooked. Fits and looks great. OC addressed the neck cleaning for you.....so as far as the bowing issue is concerned don't worry. I live here in the deep south where the heat and humidity is as thick as my grandmother's home made syrup. I've always took the basic common sense care with my MM guitars and have never had any neck problems. Keep it clean, be aware of extreme temperature changes and keep it in the case while not playing and all will be fine. Hope this helped...:)
