A friend of mine asked how comaprable a Bongo with a humbucker and single coil (?) and a Lakland 55-02/44-02 with the same pup config compared...

Any takers on this one??

Things Jack both typed and linked.

Well, all I'll say is that you used to own two different Laklands, and now own 5 Bongos....

You know, just stating the obvious. Obvious like the whole eyebrow thing.

My friend breaks my ballz about my Bongo - saying that I could just play a 55-02 and be done with it.

I say: "Kiss my a**!"

But he's curious now.

Especially since I'm wearing him down on the whole Bongo issue.

Now he's shopping a Bongo and a Lakland.

I'm curious too.

I used to have a 55-02. I just can't remember!

I'll be getting the opportunity to play both my 55-02 and my Bongo HH as of tomorrow. I'll do some A-B comparisons this weekend, although it will be on my Hartke Kickback 15 and not my stage rig.

Is the Bongo a hummer/single coil combo?

Still waiting for Brown. I don't know if it will make it today or not. UPS tracking doesn't show it "out for delivery" like they usually do, but it did make it to Dallas yesterday.

You probably won't see it today. I think UPS just assumes that all basses shipping into Dallas are for Lord Bongo. So it might take a little detour. :D
