I ventured out to GC yesterday evening after class with my lead guitarist, since he is in a guitar buying mood. Much to my surprise, I found a Silhouette HSH and two 25th's! Not to mention, a Sterling series Axis (very nice), some Anniversary basses and an Albert Lee bass (which was WAY too cool)! Here in Tulsa I rarely see any MM's, so boy was it a treat.

Of course, I was forced to play the Silo and 25th's, and I was just as pleased as any of us would be. The 25th is really something else in the tonal department, and it's beautiful to boot. The Silo was a new model with the virtual PAF's in graphite pearl, and I must admit, I think they sound much better in that guitar than the original PAF's that were in my old Silo (which by no means sounded bad... what a guitar). I was able to achieve more tones with it, and was also able to crank out a pretty fat, nasty metal rythem tone, which was the only region where my old Silo fell short for me. Needless to say, I think EB hit the nail on the head changing the pups in the Silos, and nailed it yet again on the 25th.

I just wanted to share this with you folks, and maybe inspire a fun guitar shop discussion. If you haven't played a 25th, GO DO IT NOW! :D

I was at Guitar Center in NYC yesterday after a long day of Chemistry haha. Anyway, it was a WONDERFUL EBMM experience for me. I got to play the 25th finally as well. They had a hardtail and the trem version...of course I gravitated towards the trem :D. I spent about half hour with it just going through the endless pickup configurations that ALL sound amazing. Sounded really sweet through a Rebel20 and the Blackstar HT5 was decent (I really missed reverb though).

They had a crap load of EBMMs there and Basses as well. One thing that actually SURPRISED me was a regular ASS and an Axis. They both had Chrome PUPs like the 25th and 20th models...BP whats the story with these? Never saw one of these on the forum or heard anything about this. Thats why it took me by surprise. Looked great though.
