I recently found a new video where this guy talks at length about why the Valentine is the guitar he picks up the most of all of his guitars. He absolutely nails what it is that I love about my pair of Valentines and why I play them so frequently-- that resonant "live" feeling they have, both plugged and unplugged. I simply cannot put them down. The video has some really good clips of the reviewer playing his and doing a great job of showing the tonal options in the pickup/electronics settings.
The reviewer talks about how he found his Valentine online--used at Emerald City guitars and had to buy it once he saw how pretty the flame maple neck was. It's very similar to to how I found my own Trans Buttermilk Valentine (used-but-mint) and as soon as I saw the unrelenting flame on the neck I had to whip out my wallet. I've included the Emerald City video of the actual guitar he ended up buying for some extra Trans Buttermilk content.
