Hi everyone, I just want to share how happy I am today, because it was my new string day, every month or so i change strings, but today I I did alot more, I did a complete setup on all 3 of my guitars, one of which hasn't been played in over 5 years! That would be my strat copy, my first guitar I was given by my Dad at 13 , 18 years later still got it, and it sounds great. I also did a truss rod adjustment and oiled the fretboard with my secret sauce, I put new trem springs and it works smooth. Did the same for my homemade black and white frankie, I love that guitar! I built it completely from scratch and spare parts,( good spare parts, lol) shaller tuners, a great pickup, I believe its a gfs crucnchy paf, very good pup for the price. But what Im saying is, it is imperative to have a good setup and properly working gear, some people cant do all this themselves and I strongly recommend they have it done, it is so crucial to a great playing experience, every detail matters, string buzz, height, action, pickup height, saddles, etc..... Get it goin guys you will thank yourselves.
