Guitar was made in Feb of 2015 and looks like brand new. Had to replace one piezo saddle already and now the piezo output jack seems to be causing problems and it is draining the battery quickly.

I measure 5k ohms across the battery terminals with the battery removed and a 1/4 dummy plug insert into the piezo/combination output jack. This seems very low resistance. Does anyone have an idea what this resistance should be?

I should add. I called customer service and they haven't found what that resistance should be, at least not yet.

It's a low impedance output from the buffer powering the mixed output. Curious- what resistance would you expect it to be?

Fyi, the circuit is completed when a cable is plugged into that output jack. So it's best to unplug the guitar when you're not playing it. Hopefully that's just the problem.

beej, I was referring to the actual resistance across the battery leads (with battery removed) which can be used to calculate how much current will flow from the battery according to V/R=I

That suggests well over 200 hr lifetime (capacity 550 mAh). That doesn't seem unreasonable. Even at one hour of playing every single day, or plugged in for an average of 7 hours each week, that's well over six months. Seems about right.

That's what I'm thinking also. Don't know why my battery went from 9.3 volt to less than 7 over night. Maybe a bad battery.

Mine also drains quick if left plugged in, not sure how long, but I now always unplug the socket.
