Hi there, first up i've doubled my number of Balls going from one to two with this beauty.

The guitar was bought as brand new and set me back £599 supposedly as part of an end of tax year clearout, not bad as they go for closer to £1300 new over here and that's if you're lucky enough to find a lefty.

The only problem is there seems to be a few minor chips in the fretboard directly next to the fretwire on frets 10-12,do you know what could have caused this?
Also the nut appears different to that on my other Axis aswell as what looks like a small solder mark adjacent to the Bridge pup.
I guess getting such a good deal on it has made me a bit paranoid as to why it was alot cheaper.

Despite all this i'm really digging the guitar especially the M90's and the Vintage Trem.

This was the one from "guitars 4 you" wasn't it?

The nut is the EBMM "compensated" nut and is standard and great.

The marks are different. As I recall is was sold as "new". If it wasn't made clear about the marks I would get back to the vendor.

You still got a great deal, but I wouldn't accept a shop soiled guitar that was sold as new.

that is the compensated nut as stated the ding looks like some one bumped it into something sharp and then used a marker to fill in the color.

599 pounds? I think that you got a great deal and nothing you mention is a warranty issue so do as you see fit. I think that the dealer has been more than fair in his price and is probably losing moey on this guitar.

fantastical price for an awesome guitar.aren't those mm90s just amazing - they do just about everything you could want (why oh why did i sell my mm90 Sport?!) if that little mark bothers you punt it on. you'll make a tidy profit if you do but I'd keep it and wring the neck off it every day.
enjoy!

edit: I'm on 599 posts referring to a £599 guitar - spooky:D

A price is only fair if you get what you asked for. Talk to the dude. Even if you get a coupe of freebies, and explain how you feel, the vendor may be a bit more careful next time.

Lovely axe though, and rest assured, it'll play better with a few more dings.

Thats a nice guitar there, temple! Great price too! Ask yourself if you can live with that. Personally I think if the things you mentioned dont affect playability, its alright. You know the phrase - give and take? Guitars will age somehow, in times to come, they will not be a big issue no more. But go back to the dealer if you really cant accept them. Its your money afterall. Enjoy! :D

Cheers guys,as for the marks I know it's not really a big deal I was just more worried that it had been tampered with
As for the mark next to the pup upon further inspection when I run my finger over it there no realy divot so is it possible it's just a blem in the paintwork?
Also does anyone know what gauge strings they come with as standard as these feel like 9's.

Overall these are just little things,i'm really liking the guitar though unfortunately due to money i'm going to have to let my Axis SS with hums go:(
