Maybe?
After the recent loss of my wife I was thinking of something to lift my spirits a bit, a new Stingray or Bongo. One poster had said in another thread to throw myself into my music. What better way than starting with a new Bass. I believe I'll head on down to local Music Store today and try out some new Music Man Basses.
Maybe I just need to get out of the house and hang out with some musicians. Wish me luck.........

I would imagine there are a lot of memories associated with your house ... maybe you're right, get out of the house and make some music.

And good luck!

I think you may be on to something.
What basses do you already have? :)
I have a Fender P Bass only at the moment. I used to own a Bongo but lost it in a trade for a Gibson F5G Mandolin which I use in Church too. I really like the Bongo but I can draw all the tones I need from a Stingray. A new Stingray might help me along. Let me go see what I can find......

I recently bought a non MM bass after the passing of my Dad, with money I inherited.....I think if she supported your music she would be happy for you...

I know every time I play this bass now I think of him.

Yeah, get out, try out some basses and have... fun!

A trip to the local GC proved to be much fun . I played all the Stingray's and a clearance sale Bongo. The one that caught my eye was a Burst Stingray with a Rosewood Fretboard. I really was looking for a Bongo, ( Honest Alana, I really was!) but that Ray played so well and sounded so good that I had to have it. So after discussing the final out the door price I give my new friend a ride home.

I pulled the strings off and put on some flats. Now it's ready for some serious bottom end and Blues. Ya gotta love those walking Bass lines when the tone is just right. If Flats were good enough for Jamerson their good enough for me.

Now let me figure how to post a picture of my new friend........... OMB

i agree with MrM, nothing lifts your spirits like a red stingray with the words 30th anniversary printed on the headstock
