A Newbie Question on Neck Stability

hey all, tanqs in advance for any and all answers.
i had a sub 1 HH, lovely plank to spank, but had to sell it. i had been thinking of purchasing another one when funds allow, but am thinking if i save a little longer i could get a silo. so, my question is, how do the oil-and-wax necks "stand up" over time? are they over frilly, or more like a spray finished neck? i am soon to be moving from dallas back to the southwestern desert, so i would appreciate any help.

The necks stand up great over time, but with it being a raw neck (no finish) you will need to tweak on the neck every once in awhile. I own 3 Axis and i've only had to tweak the neck on one of them one time, and i've owned mine for quite some time now. Hope this helps you !!!

that's a BIG change in relative climate......
any guitar....oiled , poly , nitro , or whatever...i would closely monitor, and maintain the humidity around 50 %. if your frets start to stick out the sides of the fingerboard .....you better get the humidity up where it's being kept.......

I live here in the southwest desert and I have had minimal problems with EBMM oiled waxed necks. Then again I do keep my guitars indoors. The climate here is way better on my guitars then the southeast was. If you still don't decide, come by the house when you get here and I'll let you try one out.

well, i am moving to southern new mexico (maybe santa fe/alb), so tucson would be a drive....but....for a chance to hit on a few EBMM's, just might be in the works....heh heh heh
