yesterday i went to guitar center to buy a few things

among those where 2 packs of Ernie Ball coated super slinkys

my question is this:the package says there is coating on the wound strings and titanium on the plain strings

are all the strings titanium reinforced????
or just the bottom 3???

nothing else has titanium???

The lowest three strings don't really need it because the winding already goes all the way down to the twist lock. Anyways, it's probably not practical to wrap the ends of the bottom three wound strings with titanium and then apply the normal nickel/nickel-plated steel wrap to the rest of the string.

Titanium isn't ferrous, and doesnt attract the magnetic pickups so its not feasible to have titanium as a winding or a core. The titanium reinforces the ball end, improves tuning stability, and prevents breakage.
