Well I went to a punk rock show the other day and saw some pretty cool bands. There was this band that came from Mexico, their name escapes me right now, but thier bass player was playing a Stingray, he sounded really good. I noticed he had it covered in stickers and duct tape, I guess to give it that punk look.
Anyway to my point. After the show I got to chatting with him and I complimented the bass. He proceeds to tell me that the duct tape is there because the body broke IN HALF!!! Thats right, the body was broken in 2 perpendicular to the strings. Before I could get into how the hell you could manage to do this other than smashing it repeatedly (which is a possibility) I ended up leaving.
So I'd just like to say that even when snapped in 2, then duct taped back together, Ernie ball basses still kick total ass and sound great.*
Thanks BP and all the guys at EBMM for doing such a sick job making instruments!
