Hey Guys,
Headed out west for a wedding and much needed family vacation. Any good music shops in Portland? I think I went to Apple Music the last time I was out there. It's been a few years though. Thanks in advance,
Brent:D

Hey Brent,

We have a few. Not many, but a few. PM me and we'll connect. When are you arriving?

Hey Mark,

I pop in to Bass NW every month or so (I'm in Seattle a lot), and for some reason, their selection has never really turned me on. You'll find a few Stingrays and Bongos (and I did see the 6 String bass up there) but I've never actually bought anything from that store. Not even strings.

On the positive side, they do have some cool t-shirts. And arguably the best selection of used amps around these parts. So maybe they are worth the trip up. ;)

I know that would be sooo cool. Actually bought a bass from them online a few years back. Great guys to deal with.I'm afraid we won't have that much free time though and I don't think the Mrs and Kids would want me to drag them along to see a music store.
Take Care,
Brent

Unfortunately not alot to choose from in Portland. Apple is the best local shop followed by the 2 GC's. There is a very cool shop on NE Sandy called Centaur Guitar. (used to be "Guitar Centaur") but GC lawyered up on them as you would expect. They usually have cool used items.
Bass NW is still the king of the northwest. Definitely worth the time if you can swing it.

Oh Portland has enough places to get you in plenty of trouble. Everytime I go down there I find something I want to bring back home.
Don't forget Portland Music. I walked in there and found my Sabre just sitting there, freshly traded in. I've spotted several old StingRays around town too, you just don't know what'll turn up.
