Off Topic A very lucky find...

Hi, very cool story. I am a member at the TDPR and spend a good bit of time there. I love my Ernie Balls, but have always been a tele guy. I dont have a fender but put together my own partscasters. Glad to see you got it and hope you enjoy it. Great find.

My current build is a body by Guitar Mill, neck by Bill Crook, Pickups by Don Mare and hardware by Glendale and Callaham. Oh yeah strings by Ernie Ball. I would post pictures but this isnt the TDPR site.

But the thing I'm sure we all want to know (without sounding too crass) is 'what's it worth?'
Now don't give us any of that 'it's a player' and it's not important kind of stuff.::)
We (I'd) love to know if old Red's having a quiet chuckle, or if there's a new roof coming your way sometime soon.

Sounds like a good find and quite a cool story. You certainly have more guts than I do. I suspect every old Fender I see of being a redone Squier. I'll stick with guitars that depreciate over time myself. Except the one my parents bought me in ''69.

I have a friend with a 54 Fender Jazzmaster (I'm pretty sure that' the model) that he bought pretty much just to hang on his wall. Maybe I'll do some research to see if it's worth anything. If he paid more than $100, I'd be surprised.

I'm really not getting this old guitar thing any more - looks like it's ready for a bin! - I'm glad you're happy though!!!
