I was looking at Gbase and they have some floyd rose Morse guitars. I get excited then realize they dont have the comfort contours like the Silo. The axis looks like it needs more belly contour to make up for not having a forearm contour. Why cant they just make a Silhouette Special with a floyd. I have been looking for a guitar like that all weeend and think that if you want a floyd you have to like 24 frets and thin necks and I dont like either.

Personally I'd prefer a Silo with the Petrucci trem. That thing is the best, without the headaches of the Floyd!

Have you tried looking for an older Silo w/ Floyd?

I see by your signature that you have an LP - if the lack of contour on that doesn't bother you, then the Axis certainly won't. I went from playing LPs almost exclusively, then adding the odd Str#t to the mix, to playing the Axis all the time. I don't find the lack of forearm contour to be a problem at all, particularly with all the time spent playing LPs. If you haven't tried one out, it may be worth hunting one down.

Yeah for some reason I havent had a problem with the Les pual but a body contour would be nice but it was a present so I will always have it. I had a wolfgang arch top but for some reason it would bother me. Most comfortable bodies are the Silhouette/Luke but the luke neck is slightly too small. I like the chunk of the wolfgang and Silhouette. I may be crazy but the 24 fret Silo just doesnt play as well as the 22 fret. I want to try out the Axis but am afraid the neck will be just a tad too small like the Luke but then again it has more chunk. I think I will look more closely at the AXIS but boy would like a Floyd Silhouette SPecial. For the Record EBMM are the best value and havent played one that was bad just never everything I want at one time.

get a silo special and float the trem... seriously, i did it with my sub for a while and it went smoothely. The locking tuners and awesome bridge design really gets the job done ;)
