About batteries and pre-amps

Hello everyone,

I got a Bongo 5 HH and I would like to know if I should remove the batteries when I don't use the bass for a long time.

Could the pre-amps be damaged for not removing the batteries for months of inactivity?

there is a powerswitch in the jack input that cuts the power when the jack is not inserted into the bass, so the only reason i see to remove the batteries is to keep the acid from leaking.. and then the batteries have to stay in there for a while

If it was to be stored for an excessive period of time then yes, if not I wouldn't worry to much

Excessive period of time like 2 or 3 years.
