First of all, sorry if there is a thread about this, I used the search and did't found.
I have a 2005 SR5 with ceramic pups, I really like the sound I get from it, but I was looking for something more like a SR4, so I know that SR5 had originally alnico pups, and then they were changed to ceramic, recently back to alnico. But I was wondering about the electronics on the SR5 basses, and got two questions about it:
1) MM changed only the pups or the newer SR5 (with alnico pups) have different preamp as well?
2) Is there any difference from the preap on the current SR4s and SR5s?
