Ok, I know that the specs say that the pickups from the MM Petrucci model are custom DiMarzio humbucking - specially designed for Petrucci.... but the neck pickup sounds like a Dimarzio Super Distortion....

I mean... What kind of DiMarzio are they?

One thing Satch mentioned when he came to town was the pickups in the new Ibanez JS 1200. He referred to them as DiMarizo PAFJoes. He said they were set up so the low end would stay tight for the melodies he was playing. The last time I played out with my EBMM Pet (during a satch song incidentally) I realized what it was he was talking about. My Pets pups have fantastic tone but I have noticed the low end just seems to rumble more than I am use to.

Norm...as part of my buying spree, I will most likely be swapping out the pups in my PRB w/ a Tone Zone and either an Air Norton (the original seems to have a bit mo' punch and titeness), PAF Joe, or Norton. If and when I will report on the results with haste.....Seacrest Out!

How are those PAF Joes? I find Satch's tone to be abit over "satch"urated (ha, ha) Thats mostly because of his effects loop right?
