Just got the new Axis SS from MF. Love the guitar but the Music Man hardshell case is cut out in a "strat" (Luke) shape and some rolled up padding has been inserted to keep the guitar from shifting around. Is this the norm?

This is a norm for this case- it's a universal fit case for all of the Music Man guitars. No need to worry about it being the wrong case... you're new axe will be safe and secure.

Thanks Pete. I thought that might be the case (no pun intended). I'm still in honeymoon mode with this guitar. First practice with the band tomorrow........can't wait to spring this one on the guys.
