I've never been a big fan of country music or the country twang, but I gotta give props to Brad Paisley and EBMM. He can really play and there were some great tones from that guitar in that song. Great work by all involved!

I hate country music with a few exceptions and Brad Paisley is one of the exceptions. Great musician and player. He and Keith Urban I respect a lot. To see Brad playing a MM guitar was awesome. Hopefully brings lots of exposure to MM.

Yup I saw the double neck too.
I think the "Paisley Axis" may have a B bender too? - judging from the way the guitar strap is attached - and I bleeb there was some "bender" action going on initially?

It seems to be a G bender.

Here is some information on the finish and bender:
This guitar was a joint venture between Music Man & Crook Custom Guitars. When Brad was approached to play the awards show and do his new Single “Old Alabama” He thought it would be cool to pay tribute to the early days of Alabama when they all played Music Man gear. With that in mind he also didn’t want to forgo his trademark Crook paisley finish so he got them together to build this special one of a kind guitar. The guitar was sent to Bill unfinished, He Gutted the electronics and put his preferred Voodoo in the Bridge and a Voodoo P90 at the neck. The guitar body was then sent to McVay for the G Bender install. Bill then applied the Silver Sparkle Paisley Finish to the top with Silver Binding. He finished the rest of the guitar and shipped it off last week in time for the ACM awards show.

When Brad first started playing guitar Alabama Was huge in Country music. He was a Fan as a lot of us were. This was his way of paying tribute to their musical inspiration.

Well that shows you how little I know about Country artist but no matter what that was great publicity for EBMM as a lot of guys and kids definitely want to know more about that ax. I really do love the sound of major scales and that is why I am a big fan of Southern Rock and will leave on the Country video station every know and then, which is how I came across Paisley and Urban since a lot of new Country borders more on a rock vibe in a way the Eagles bordered a bit on Country, and those lyrics about Grandma, beer and trucks have given away to lyrics that are not country influenced. But I love country players and always have and I seriously believe it may just be the most difficult music to play at the top level just for the reason that all the top guitarist like Albert Lee, Brent Mason, James Burton,Paisley, Gill and Urban to name a few when they are letting it rip are playing clean with no distortion to hide any clams and those guys can fly. Even shredders like John 5 and Zack Wylde have incorporated country techniques into there styles, if you never played any country style lead I dont care how good a rock guitarist you are pick up an advanced instructional DVD or book and be prepared to feel very frustrated lol.

I'd love to see some pictures of the back. I wonder how much wood is removed to fit the bender stuff?
I've never had the pleasure of playing a guitar with a B or G bender... I'm sure when you're used to it it would be SooOOooo fun haha... One day :D
