OK, have checked EB website without much luck.

Is it possible to get touch-up paint? (know Gibson does this, although not had need to try, phew).

Also, trem bars?

Lastly, do schaller strap locks fit without mods. i.e. famous toothpick or glu needed?

Thanks a bunch.

Obviously I am trying to join the family by going for a EBMMSS on a certain auction site lol.

I don't think you can get paint, but that's a great idea. Nail polish/auto paint is a good substitute. Better yet is to love the dents - they tell a good story. ;)

You can buy trem bars etc- just call customer service. They'll take care of ya.

Schaller locks- some fit, some don't. The standard EBMM screws will fit through some, while some of them are a little too small so the heads of the screws won't sit properly. I seem to have a few of both in my collection.

I've done the toothpick route. I've recently re-done everything with new screws (better). Took the straplocks + the original EBMM screws to home depot and found a replacement of the same length and threading but with heads small enough to fit snugly in the straplocks.

G'luck on the auction!

Thanks Beej

yeah, kinda expected the paint answer but hadta ask lol.
Trem arm, should be no problem.
Darn non-standard strap screws. You know, the industry (IMO) would be much better with standard screws. Anyone with a half decent guitar knows strap locks are a MUST. Dunlop and Schaller (fender same thing I tink) are the big boys. C'mon ppl. make this easy for us. Better still, on a $500+ guitar put bl**dy strap locks on it from new! Surely would'nt raise price but cpl. $$$ on mass.

Ahh well.
Fingers crossed, DARN wanna continue my music lessons with a MM!!!!

My Gibson is at Ron Pace's getting a pro setup.
My Jackson is awaiting a total re-finish.
I need/want an MM ROFLMAO.

Some companies like Carvin offer this as an option. I think it's a great idea, and would save me the trouble of having to do it myself. I won't play one of my guitars without them.

I love 'em too, but straplocks aren't for everyone. And every player has a different priority, including the endorsed artists. Some guys like the Schallers, some guys like the Dimarzio clip locky things, etc. Tommy uses a $2 one from Stewmac that works like a charm on regular straps.

Personally I don't mind screwing the thing on when I get a guitar. It's more of a personal preference item.
