Acoustic amp for the EBMM Piezo equipped guitars?

Hello,

Anyone have a recommendation for a fairly inexpensive, reliable, loud, and small acoustic combo amp for the EBMM piezo equipped guitars? I picked up a used silhouette with piezo and also have two pit orchestra gigs coming up that it will be perfect for. I really want to check out the Fishman loud box mini if I can find one locally, but I'm unsure if the little 6.5 inch speaker will be enough.

I could recommend a cheap acoustic amp but alas they are manufactured solely for a Music Chain here in the UK called PMT music, -for the money they are awesome.

Anyways that’s not the reason for me chiming in.

Just a heads up …
I use an AER 60 acoustic amp and by itself it is loud as can be. However, when I play it in the band ( 2 guitars, bass & drums)and now it’s sitting somewhere in the mix, I’m guessing because of the way these amps are voiced, that they can easily get lost. I usually run the amp via the line out into the PA – just something you might want to bear in mind?

Thanks for the tips so far. I will definitely line out to the house for one of these show runs. One of them is pro and one is just that I was hired to fill in for a high school pit. That one at the high school likely will not have the capability to run it direct.

FWIW - I love my Marshall AS50D but am not sure if that's got the features you're looking for…

I think I'm going to check out a used Carvin of some sort... Hopefully it will do the trick. For anyone else using two amps, I understand a DI box is often needed to prevent ground loops. I have a basic whirlwind DI box that has a lo-z output and ground switch. Can I use an XLR to 1/4 inch cable to plug into the acoustic amp or will that hurt something?

I ended up getting something. I found a great deal on a Genz Benz Shenandoah compak. Sounds great, and is tiny!

Yup, I certainly did whilst working in Southend - great value.
