Hi Guys,

What acoustics would you recommend that have a similiar feel to a EBMM neck? I have a Fender Stratacoustic at the moment and i love it, but now ive moved to musicman electric guitars i would like a similiar feel in the acoustic guitar neck. Any thoughts welcome :)

An Ernie Ball Earthwood acoustic......though they're rather hard to find!

I suppose you'l need to tell us which EBMM neck you like.....for example I don't know of many acoustics with unfinished maple necks.

I'm a Larrivee fan, but if you search some of the old acoustic recommendation threads, you'll probably get a thousand different answers. It's tough to find an acoustic with the neck feel of an electric (alhough I believe Ovations have a slight V shape). They usually have a flatter radius and wider nut but can vary as much or more than the electrics, particularly if you get into the classical acoustic range. You're probably best off going and playing them than going by internet suggestions.

Good Luck

Mbgreene gave you the best recommendation and what he said is really true :

With an acoustic, especially if you want to do fingerpicking you need more space between the strings ... thus a wider neck. I play also classical guitar and after, my EBMM necks seem so small
Thus, go shopping ! Try to find an acoustic neck that suits you (even if the guitar does not suit you !) and see what are the dimensions. Later on, you can find guitars with similar neck dimension on the Internet.
