Help! Acoustic sounds dull

Hi I have an epiphone acoustic guitar and it has some relatively new strings on it but they sound dull and don't have the the typical acoustic tone. Thanks Jim

Hi Jim,

some acoustic guitar bodys are very massive, so the "swing" of the body is not so good and the sound is dull. I'm not familiar with Epihone acoustics, so I don't know if this the reason could be.

Also the strings could cause such an effect.

Coated strings are sounding more mellow, not so crisp.

Did you try the EB Earthwood strings? They should sound more crispy when you have a dull sound now.
