Action is a disaster!! please help

Ok, so I am a proud owner of a new axis. It has hung on my wall now for about 40 days and has played beautifully. Last night I picked it up after two weeks of no use and the action was so low that all the stings were not even sounding. They were buzzin off of the first fret!!! I currently live in New York and the summer is just starting to set in....ie humidity. Is this the cause and if so, how do I adjust it, or who do I have adjust it.

Anyone with advise or a similar problem, please help.

Don´t worry. turn your trussrod a quarter turn counterclockwise, retune and wait.

You may have to do that a number of times. And give it a decent wait, two minutes ain't gonna cut it.

I know exactly what you're going through. I live in Minnesota. In the summer our temp and humidity can change 80 degrees/% in 24 hours.

Exactly, I have all mine in cases cept my Sub which I am always playing so...

did you start using your a/c regularly in that room about two weeks ago ?
a/c dries the air ALOT !!!!! dry air usually makes your guitar neck stiffer so the truss rod has to work a little harder to counter flex the bow the string tension causes.
high humidity usually softens the neck so the action will rise because the wood is more easily bowed by the string tension.


i'm betting the relative humidity in that room is around 23% nowadays....as to when it was around 40-50 before regular a/c season
