Hi, I am brand-new owner of a brand-new EBMM JP-6. It may sound a bit stupid, but I want to ask you a few questions about setting action on this guitar. I want to replace strings and lower the action a bit, so I want to know, do I have to put the strings off when changing the tremolo height or not. I am using 10-46 strings and I am afraid of lowering the trem, while having the string on, because I think I can damage the studs or knife edges while being in contact. I am thanking you for your answers. I realyy like my guitar a lot. Here is the picture of it. My guitar
I also want to appologie you for my bad English, I am from Slovenia Europe.

I also want to add something. I opened the plactic back of the guitar where the springs are, and noticed, that the trmolo is conected with some wire, probably because of the piezo. Please, help me, I really want to know if I have to remove the strings or I cane leave them on while changing the tremolo height and srewing the studs. I really don't want to make any damage to my guitar  Thanx

Hi Jantex, welcome to the forum! :)

The jury's still out on whether you should remove tension from a bridge before adjusting the post height - the smart money's on "Yes", but that means you have to remove the string tension and release the springs, then adjust your bridge posts, then put the springs back on and tighten up the strings again, and that's a lot of work for a trial and error height adjustment where half a millimeter can make a difference in how the guitar feels. I adjust the trem posts (carefully) while the guitar's tuned up, but that is not the recommended procedure, since it can theoretically wear the knife edges and post notch.

As to the wire attached to the trem claw, that's your guitar's ground wire, where the signal is earthed.

Yes that is true, but my neck is absolutely straight, but my action on the 24zh fret is extremely high, on the first fret it is very low.
