Not a real expert. But, as far as I know, there are no low-action tricks on any really well-made bass like the Bongo; just takes careful, patient adjustment of the neck and saddles (probably no need to adjust pups or nut) and some new(er) strings in the correct gauges with decent tension. Before making follow-up adjustments, be sure to let your neck settle for a few hours after each minor tweak--1/4 turn or less to the truss rod for each worked like a charm when I switched to EB Group III flats on my very low and clean Stingray.
